THREE COMPLEMENTARY AREAS
The eye is a complex organ and eye diseases are often multifactorial.
Images and measurements only make sense when interpreted in conjunction with the clinical examination and the patient's history.

01 · GLAUCOMA
Glaucome & pression oculaire

Frequently Asked Questions
Is high pressure a sign of glaucoma?
No. Intraocular pressure is a risk factor that must be considered in conjunction with the optic nerve examination and other findings. A diagnosis of glaucoma generally involves optic nerve damage.
Is OCT sufficient for diagnosis?
No. OCT is a complementary examination interpreted within its clinical context. An accurate diagnosis requires consideration of a large number of factors.
Will it be necessary to dilate the pupil?
Although modern techniques allow us to avoid dilation in many situations, there are still certain indications for which this examination remains essential. Your doctor will inform you if dilation might be necessary.
When should you seek emergency medical attention?
A sudden decrease in vision, a black veil even transient, or new flashes and floaters require a rapid emergency evaluation.
